Sedan Rental
Sedan covers the midsize and full-size classes — the default American rental car, and still the most comfortable way to cover long interstate distances with four people.

What the Sedan class covers
Compared with an SUV of similar price, a full-size sedan gives you a better ride, better fuel consumption and a lockable trunk that hides luggage from view. What it does not give you is ground clearance or a third row.
Providers group several models into each sedan class. You are booking the class, not the car — the listing will normally read as a named model "or similar".

Why choose it

- Better highway fuel consumption than an SUV of comparable size.
- Quieter and more settled at sustained interstate speed.
Common use cases
- Long interstate drives
- Four adults with checked bags
- Business travel
- Airport-to-city transfers

What US providers commonly place in the Sedan class.

Toyota Camry Hybrid or similar
These are examples of the class, not an inventory list. US rental providers assign a vehicle from the booked class at pick-up — which is why every listing reads "or similar". American Drive does not hold vehicles and cannot guarantee any specific model.
Availability: American Drive does not hold inventory. Whether a Sedan vehicle is available for your dates depends entirely on the participating providers — run a search to find out.
Sedan rental questions
Full size adds rear legroom and trunk capacity. For four adults on a long drive, full size is noticeably more comfortable.
No. Providers list a representative model followed by "or similar" and assign a vehicle from that class at pick-up.
Some providers list hybrid variants as their own class. Availability depends entirely on the provider and location — run a search to check.
