What the Pickup class covers
Cab configuration matters more than the badge. A regular cab seats two or three; a crew cab seats five or six but has a shorter bed for the same overall length.
Towing is the most commonly misunderstood part. Many providers prohibit towing outright, and those that permit it require their own equipment. Never assume a hitch means permission.

Pickup rental questions
Frequently not. Towing is restricted or prohibited by many providers — get written confirmation before you plan around it.
