American Drive's Role

We are a search and comparison service. We do not hold your reservation, we do not take payment for the rental, and we have no access to a provider's booking system. That means we cannot cancel, modify or refund a booking on your behalf.

What we can do is help you identify the correct provider, locate your reference number and understand what their policy says.

Provider-Specific Cancellation Policies

Each provider sets its own terms, and they differ substantially. Common patterns include free cancellation up to a stated cut-off before pick-up, partial-refund windows closer to the date, and fully non-refundable prepaid rates. The policy that applies to you is the one shown at the time you booked and repeated in the provider's confirmation email.

Modification Requests

Changes to dates, times, pick-up location, vehicle class or driver details are made through the provider. Some changes are free; others reprice the booking at current rates. Changes are rarely possible after the scheduled pick-up time has passed, and a no-show is usually treated as a cancellation under the provider's rules.

Refund Responsibility

Refunds are issued by the provider that took your payment, to the card used, under their policy and on their timeline. Bank processing typically adds several business days after the provider releases the funds. American Drive does not issue refunds because it does not receive rental payments.

How to Request Assistance

1. Find the confirmation email from the provider — it carries the reference number they need.
2. Contact the provider directly using the details in that email.
3. If you cannot locate the confirmation or are not sure which provider holds the booking, contact us with the date, location and any reference you have, and we will help you work it out.

We do not promise a refund outcome. Whether one is due is determined entirely by the provider's policy and the terms you accepted.
